First Baptist Church Laurinburg believes in the Gospel of Jesus Christ; as well as the historical Baptist messages of believer's baptism, the priesthood of believers, and the separation of church and state. We seek to be inclusive in welcoming worshipers and in our church leadership. We wish to be involved in ministry to our local community and in supporting larger efforts with other Baptists. Our worship style has been basically traditional, but we are open to alternative ways of reaching new members and our own youth. Primarily, however, we wish to be a church committed to God's will for us as individuals and as a faith community.

For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
